High Quality Stainless Steel Strapping Solutions

Stainless steel strapping is ideally suited for a wide range of strapping applications in different industries. It can be joined using different methods. The joining method can be changed as per the application. It has become widely popular in the steel, alloy, timber, and oil industries because of its durability, and resistance to most types of environments and chemicals.

High Tensile Stainless Steel Strapping

High-tensile stainless steel strapping is most preferred strapping because of its benefits. It is so durable and reliable that it is commonly used in the railroad industry for securing loads effectively. In fact, it has become the specialty strapping in many mid-to-heavy duty industries.

Benefits

  • Stainless steel strapping is resistant to salts and chemicals, cold, heat, UV rays, moisture and high temperature.
  • Extremely strong and durable.
  • Strong resistance to corrosion.
  • Ideally suited for outdoor applications where the strapping will be constantly exposed to the elements.
  • Relatively safer than steel strapping as it doesn’t have as sharp edges.

Stainless Steel Strapping Grades

There are different grades of stainless steel specialty strapping for different types of applications. You can choose from the following grades:

1. 201-201

The 201-201 series of stainless steel strapping has nickel, manganese and chromium in it. It is due to these metals that it gets its nonmagnetic, anti-corrosive, and strong characteristic. This grade is relatively cheaper but still offers the best features. It is highly resistant to oxidation and has excellent resilience. It is in fact stronger than the 304 grade stainless steel strapping.

2. 301-304

The 301-304 series grade of stainless steel strapping is most commonly used for making straps of thickness 0.015 to 0.025 inch. This grade contains higher percentage of nickel than in the 201 series. Thus, it provides better anti-corrosive resistance. So this stainless steel strapping is even better for use in highly corrosive environments.

3. 317-317L

The 317-317L Series is the best stainless steel grade for strapping if you want high resistance to corrosion. This grade of stainless steel has molybdenum and lower percentage of carbon. This unique combination gives it its very-high anti-corrosion power. It is also more resistant towards high temperature sensitization because of the low-carbon percentage.
